L.A. concerts for Thursday:

Elton John, Taron Egerton (who played him the movie) and the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra stage “Rocketman: Live in Concert,” a live-to-picture concert at the Greek Theatre.
Finneas does the first of two nights at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever as part of his “Blood Harmony” tour. Lauren Sanderson opens.
City & Colour visit the Fonda Theatre in support of their new album “A Pill for Loneliness,” with Ruby Waters supporting.
► Inland empire quartet Ariel View [see “Summertime”] celebrate the release of their album “Until My Lungs Are Cleared” with a show at the Bootleg Theater, supported by Archer Oh, It’s Butter and Ear Ringers.
► Phoenix trio Injury Reserve hold forth at the El Rey Theatre, with Slauson Malone and XXX opening.
► Memphis stalwarts Lucero do the first of two nights at the Lodge Room, with Vandoliers supporting.
