Wrapping up a tour in support of their latest album “Heaven Surrounds You,” Surf Curse came back home to the Fonda Theatre, playing their 29th show in a row. Despite having a long tour behind them, Nick Rattigan, Jacob Rubeck and their band put on an energetic performance that was matched by the young and unrelenting crowd before them. As per usual at a Surf Curse show, moshing and crowd surfing lasted from open to close, with Rattigan leaping off the stage and into the pit, mic in hand, to sing “Disco” among the audience.
Dirt Buyer (NYC) and Spitting Image (Reno) opened up the show with their own brands of DIY punk that got the packed crowd moving early on.
Set List: Heathers, Maps to the Stars, Safe, Midnight Cowboy, All Is Lost, Dead Ringers, River’s Edge, Doom Generation, Trust, Memory, Labyrinth, Ponyboy, Hour of the Wolf, Disco, Freaks, Forever Dumb.
