► The annual Dia de los Muertos celebration at Hollywood Forever Cemetery is headlined by Café Tacvba, joined in the festivities by Lido Pimienta, La Doña, the Delirians and Sávila.
► HARD Day of the Dead goes off at Los Angeles State Historic Park, featuring a lineup of Dog Blood, the Martinez Brothers, Blacklizt, Damian Lazarus, Tokimonsta, Elohim, Justin Martin, Melé and more. There’s an after-party at Exchange.
► Night 2 of Substance brings John Maus, Boy Harsher, Black Marble, a Place to Bury Strangers, Lust for Youth, HTRK, Crack Cloud, Psyche, Ritual Howls, Odonis Odonis, Klack, Kontravoid and Void Vision to the Los Angeles Theatre.
