Chicago garage-rock invaded Los Angeles this week in the form of Twin Peaks, Post Animal and Ohmme.
In support of their latest record “Lookout Low,” Twin Peaks sold out two nights at the Teragram Ballroom, playing late into the night with tunes from all of their albums, as well as their most recent single, a cover of Wilco’s song “Spiders (Kidsmoke).” Twin Peaks, comprised of Cadien Lake James (guitar), Clay Frankel (guitar), Jack Dolan (bass), Colin Crooms (keys) and Connor Brodner (drums), were joined on many songs by Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart of Ohmme as back-up singers.
In fact, collaboration was a running theme during Friday night’s show, as Post Animal shared the stage throughout their set. Ohmme’s Stewart joined in on violin for a song, and original band member Joe Keery (“Stranger Things,” and his recent solo work Djo) came out with Twin Peaks’ Cadien Lake James to rock out on their last song.
