► Pixies do a second sold-out night at the Troubadour, with Kristin Hersh opening.
► Motor Sales celebrate the release of their self-titled album with a show at Zebulon. The packed lineup also features Buck Meek (of Big Thief), Clara-Nova, Pete Lalish (of Lucius), Sondre Lerche, Jonathan Ames and AO Gerber.
► London disco-funk sextet Franc Moody make their U.S. debut with a show at the Echo, with Joe Hertz supporting.
► Mat Kearney, on tour revisiting his 2009 album “City of Black & White,” does a night a the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever, with Eli Teplin opening.
► And L.A. quintet Mmmonika, who describe themselves as “an indie-pop boy band,” celebrate the release of their new EP “Very American!” with a show at the Bootleg Theater, joined by Junior Mesa and Van El.
