Jennifer Lee will release “Oasis Nocturno,” her sixth album as TOKiMONSTA, this Friday. The South Bay-bred artist has done nothing but blaze trails over the past decade as a DJ, producer and creator of genre-fluid music that doesn’t so much dip its toes in the waters of house music, hip-hop and pop as surrounds them.

The four singles released so far from the album cover a lot of bases. The latest, “Renter’s Anthem,” was released Friday. It’s a warm dance track — perhaps good for the solo moves you’re practicing while quarantined in your apartment? (“Are you hangin’ on?” Well, so far, yes.)

It followed the February release of the dynamic “One Day,” an empowerment anthem that features Bibi Bourelly (Def Jam) and musician-filmmaker Jean Deaux. “Buried deep inside us is the will to overcome the most difficult hardships,” TOKiMONSTA says. “As women, Bibi Bourelly, Jean Deaux and I know how strong you have to be to push forward when no one believes in you. ‘One Day’ is dedicated to every person of every creed feeling life’s hardships, but not losing themselves to it. Our drive and our determination will guide us to the faint light at the end of the tunnel.”

Directed by Jordan Bahat, the video was filmed at L.A.’s Tenri Dojo. The trio play sages, offering guidance to a class of Taekwondo students while a storm rages.

The video for “Fried for the Night” (which features Atlanta hip-hop duo EarthGang), was directed by Romain Laurent. It’s dynamic in a different way, depicting a trippy house party.
