The South by Southwest Music Festival might have been canceled due to the spread of the coronavirus, but the folks at NPR have followed through with their due diligence.

They’ve posted their annual playlist, “The Austin 100,” which features songs from artists from across the globe who were scheduled to showcase at this month’s SXSW. As always, it’s an excellent vehicle for music discovery.

They call it “a multi-genre feast that spans 100 songs, six continents, 21 countries and 21 of our own 50 states (plus Puerto Rico).” Included are Los Angeles artists such as Deserta, Gold Cage, Kills Birds, Loyal Lobos and Madame Gandhi. One time through, and our favorite discovery so far is Indonesia’s Grrrl Gang.
