On the heels of the release of his new album, QUARANTUNES checks in with Sea Wolf, who like many of us is looking forward to a saner world. And parties, lots of parties. Find Buzz Bands LA’s brief chat with Sea Wolf, and this series’ wildest playlist yet, here:
THE LATEST FROM SEA WOLF
Sea Wolf’s new album “Through a Dark Wood” (which came out last week), the first from Alex Brown Church in five years, offers a narrative tracing his path from anguish to renewal in 11 typically shimmering tunes. It’s an album in which troubled souls and curious minds can find shelter … a welcome safe harbor in these times.
HOW ARE YOU HOLDING UP AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MANAGE THE ‘STAY AT HOME’ EDICT?
I’m holding up OK. The new album just came out, so I’m navigating promoting a record during this strange new reality, and holding off the same general anxiety we’re all having right now. Just trying to make sure I stay connected with friends and family every day, really. That and get some fresh air.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO WHEN THIS IS OVER?
Just being able to be in the same room again with lots of people, I think, is going to become something we all crave. So I think we should all have parties to celebrate.
ANYTHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS PLAYLIST?
It’s a mix of new and old stuff I’ve been listening to this past week. If you like Joni Mitchell and Run the Jewels, this playlist is for you.
