It’s as if Jenny O. saw the quarantine coming.
“I Don’t Want to Live Alone Anymore” is the second single from the L.A.-based singer-songwriter’s third album, “New Truth,” coming out on June 19 via Mama Bird Recording Co. It’s an effervescent, dreamy track for the lonely-hearted that feels particularly relevant right now.
“I never would have thought this song would come out while the world was in isolation, but I guess this is its time,” Jenny O. says. “The only time I ever lived truly alone, I felt nuts. I am amused by obsessive rearranging and celebration of my things. I prefer housemates.”
Jenny O. did the entire video by herself, in quarantine, so bonus points for staying focused and productive in a difficult time.
Virtual hugs all around to anybody riding out the lockdown without somebody to help with the dishes.
