Five special reasons to stay on your couch this weekend

1

These will make it almost feel like a weekend:

STAGECOUCH

The Stagecoach festival was supposed to take over Indio this weekend, but in its stead we have Stagecouch. Via SiriusXM’s The Highway and on the Stagecoach Instagram, there will be streamed performances, Q&A’s and sing-alongs, featuring the likes of Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, Chris Lane, Midland and Dustin Lynch. See the lineup here. We love the festival map provided by Stagecoach.

ALL TOGETHER NOW

Saturday’s All Together Now is an online concert and telethon, with proceeds benefiting the City of L.A.’s COVID-19 relief efforts. The stars will come out: It features Smokey Robinson, Carole King, Rick Springfield, Mindi Abair, Paul Rodgers (Bad Company), Melissa Manchester, Mickey Thomas (Jefferson Starship), Mary Wilson (The Supremes), Micky Dolenz (The Monkees), Ellis Hall, Tim Allen, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jeff Bridges, Mike Love (The Beach Boys), Lisa Loeb, Steve Lukather (Toto), Vonda Shepard, Peter Beckett (Player), Alan Parsons Live Project and Jesse Colin Young. It kicks off at 2 p.m. here.

‘YELLOW SUBMARINE’

Wait for it, wait for it: The Beatles will release the animated film “Yellow Submarine” as a live sing-along on the group’s official YouTube channel. The restored film includes song lyrics at the bottom of the screen. It’s a one-day-only thing and starts at 9 a.m. Pacific. Watch it at the Beatles’ YouTube channel.

PATHWAY TO PARIS

Sunday’s Pathway to Paris is a virtual festival celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. The lineup includes Patti Smith, Michael Stipe, Cat Power, Flea, Ben Harper and more. It will stream on the Pathway to Paris Instagram.

DESERT HEARTS

And the Desert Hearts Festival is staging a digital festival, too, running today through Sunday. Get your fill of house and techno from the likes of Josh Butler, Thugfucker, Justin Jay, Huxley, Sacha Robotti, Atish, Harvard Bass, Option4, SHADED, VNSSA, Rinzen, Lubelski, Rybo, Wyatt Marshall, Dink, Ofier, Mitch Dodge, Susio, Memo Rex and more. It’s streaming on Twitch.TV.

ONE MORE REMINDER

As it did last month, Bandcamp is waiving its fees and devoting 100% of revenues to artists on Saturday. A good day to do some digital shopping.

Note: There’s much more, of course, and we’ll have the listings in our daily “Notes” posts.
