Stream: All Things Blue, ‘Chad’

If India Coombs sounds a little loopy on the new single from All Things Blue, well, that’s the point.

Bobbing and weaving in swirls of psychedelia, “Chad” is about being left dangling (get it?) on the emotional whims of somebody else. It’s the first song from All Things Blue’s forthcoming album “Get Bit,” made with collaborator Jon Joseph and arriving later this year.

“See-saws are fun until you’re riding an emotional see-saw … when you want someone that doesn’t want you, but makes sure to keep you around,” Coombs says. “Sometimes you only realize in retrospect; that person was just a Chad. Also during the whole vocal take I was holding Jon’s week-old baby boy, which is why I laugh at the end cause he fell asleep.”
