Cherry Glazerr frontwoman Clementine Creevy has accused former bandmate Sean Redman, who went on to become bassist in the Buttertones, of statutory rape.

In a post Wednesday on Instagram, Creevy, now 23, described having sex with Redman when she was 14 years old and he was 20 and the volatile relationship that followed. Her revelation followed a post a few days ago by Buttertones fan Chloe Razink describing her sexual encounter with Redman (full text in Brooklyn Vegan’s post).

Redman departed Cherry Glazerr in 2016 to join the Buttertones. Before the Buttertones took down their social media channels today, they announced they were parting ways with Redman. On Wednesday night, the band’s label, Innovative Leisure, announced on Instagram that they were severing ties with the band.
