The new album from Winter arrives Friday, in the middle of summer (and a pandemic). Sample “Endless Space (Between You & I)” in today’s QUARANTUNES as dream-pop weaver Samira Winter shares her lockdown routine and a playlist that will dash your doldrums.

THE LATEST FROM WINTER

Brazilan-born artist Samira Winter, aka Winter, releases her third album (and first for the Bar/None label) this Friday. “Endless Space (Between You & I)” furthers her surrealistic explorations into bright, transportative dream-pop — it is somehow even more ethereal than Winter’s aptly titled 2018 album “Ethereality.” There are four singles out so far — all making a case for the fact that, ladies and gentlemen, you’ll be happy to be floating in Winter’s space.

HOW ARE YOU HOLDING UP AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MANAGE THE ‘STAY AT HOME’ EDICT?

It’s been ups and downs, but I think the more time passes the more I’m getting into it and really appreciating this time to do all the things I usually wouldn’t have time to do. I’ve been reading and writing, recording, watching documentaries and I actually started painting and playing tennis! There is still so much I wanna do so I’m just keeping myself busy, and whenever I feel overwhelmed I make a gratitude list.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO WHEN THIS IS OVER?

I can’t wait to play live! I also really miss experiencing live music. Hopefully doing some major world touring!
