■ Next month marks the 10th anniversary of Fitz & the Tantrums’ debut album “Pickin’ Up the Pieces,” and to mark the occasion, the L.A. indie label that launched the band, Dangerbird Records, will release a live album in October. “Fitz and The Tantrums: Live In Chicago,” out Oct. 2, was recorded over two nights in 2011 at the Metro (which like many independent music venues, is doing a GoFundMe campaign to try and survive the pandemic). Flash back with “L.O.V.,” and also their full performance from 2019’s Lollapalooza.
And speaking of live (or the 2020 version thereof), Fitz & the Tantrums have three drive-in shows coming up: Aug. 29 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds and Sept. 5 and 6 at Drive-In OC at the Grove of Anaheim.
