■ As many artists are doing, Swedish pop singer Tove Lo used her fans as a resource for the new video for her single “Mateo,” from her fourth album “Sunshine Kitty.” Almost 1,000 from all over the world appear in the “quarantine karaoke video.” “Since ‘Sunshine Kitty’ was released, ‘Mateo’ has been a fan favorite,” the artists says. “I always knew I wanted to do a visual for it. We had shot footage for the lyric video at a beautiful venue in Manchester called Albert Hall in early March, right before we had to cancel the European shows and fly home due to COVID. So much of the last few months has been about what can’t happen, doing the quarantine karaoke challenge was a way to still connect with my fans and give everyone something to safely do while locked down. I was so overwhelmed by all the submissions, there were just about 1,000 and everyone was so fun and creative with it. I wish the song could be 10 times longer so we could have fit all in!”
