“Club Zero” is the first new song from legendary new wave band the Go-Go’s in almost 20 years, arriving just in time for Friday night’s premiere (9 p.m., Showtime) of the new documentary, “The Go-Go’s,” directed by Alison Ellwood (“Laurel Canyon,” “History of the Eagles”).

It’s a punchy pop tune that fits in well with the catalog of the band, renowned as being the first all-female band to write their own songs and play their own instruments on a No. 1 album. The gang’s all here on the new single — Charlotte Caffey, Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock, Kathy Valentine and Jane Wiedlin are credited as producers, with Anna Waronker (That Dog.) additionally credited as a writer.

The making of the song, which was created via email exchanges between band members and recorded in San Francisco and Los Angeles with Travis Kasperbauer and Gabe Lopez, respectively, is featured in a segment in the documentary.
