Milly started in Bristol, Conn., as the noisy adventures of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Brendan Dyer, who then packed up his pedals and headed west to reconstitute his live lineup.
After releasing two songs as part of Dangerbird Records’ Microdose series last year, Milly released an EP, “Our First Four Songs,” music that cast them as progeny of ’90s shoegaze, grunge and slowcore luminaries. Or sons of Sebadoh. They toured supporting Swervedriver and DIIV, and the highlight reel in their “Milly” video is from the latter tour.
Dyer and gang are working on new music, tentatively scheduled to arrive in the fall.
