This year marks 20 years since Grandaddy’s brilliant second album “The Sophtware Slump,” and Dangerbird Records has announced it will release a 20th anniversary four-LP vinyl boxed set. Included will be what the band is describing as a “shadow sibling” to the original album, “The Sophtware Slump … On a Wooden Piano.” The album, performed by Jason Lytle and recorded during the pandemic, will come out as part of the 20th anniversary release on Nov. 20, and in early 2021 as a standalone release.
