Note: Today is another of Bandcamp’s fee-free Fridays, as the platform waives its cut and devotes 100% of revenue to artists … or in this case, artist-supported causes.

Two major compilations — both treasure troves of great, never-before-released tracks and both supporting efforts to get the vote out — are available today on Bandcamp.

The first is “Talk – Action = Zero Vol. 2: A Compilation Benefitting Spread The Vote,” the effort of Rough Trade Publishing and Bank Robber Music. It’s 58 songs deep (selling on a name-your-price basis, but $20.20 is the suggested donation) and benefits Spread the Vote, following a similarly deep Vol. 1 that was released in June. Among the artists: Mathew Caws of Nada Surf, Apex Manor, Pink Mountaintops, A Place to Bury Strangers, Telekinesis, Neal Francis, Oddnesse, Glen Parks, Moving Panoramas and Spring Summer.

Then there is “Good Music to Avert the Collapse of American Democracy,” 40 songs strong (with Shepard Fairey’s cover art available today as a limited-edition poster). All the proceeds go to the voters rights organization Fair Fight. Also available for $20.20, the compilation features heavy-hitters such as Hayley Williams, R.E.M., My Morning Jacket, Weyes Blood, the Decemberists, Sylvan Esso, Devendra Banhart and King Tuff. Oh, and Matt Berninger of the National covering the Cure.

Both compilations are populated with some remixes, alternative versions, demos and cover songs
