Set times have been announced for this weekend’s Save Our Stages (#SOSFEST) online festival, which features Dillon Francis, the Lumineers, Reba McEntire, Finneas, Monica, Brittany Howard, G-Eazy, the Roots, Portugal. The Man, Phoebe Bridgers, the Roots, Foo Fighters, Macklemore, Nathaniel Rateliff and many more.

Co-presented by the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) and YouTube Music, the unprecedented nationwide event will stream from various live concert venues across the country (including the Troubadour, Hotel Café, the Whiskey a Go-Go and Teragram Ballroom in L.A.) this Friday, Saturday and Sunday on YouTube.

The free online festival is raising donations for the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund to save live music venues in danger of closing after half a year of lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic caused by the lack of containment of the SARS CoV-2 virus in the U.S. Current statistics show nearly 9 million diagnosed cases in the country and over 217,000 deaths, with almost 860,000 people diagnosed in California alone. That paints a grim picture for forecasting when venues will be allowed to open again.

The event is also raising awareness for the Save Our Stages Act, which was added to the Heroes Act aid package approved by the House of Representatives and awaiting a hearing in the Senate, which is now formally in recess until Nov. 9. If passed, the Heroes Act would provide $10 billion in aid for independent venues, promoters and talent agencies to cover rent, mortgages, utilities, insurance and other expenses in order to survive the lockdown.
