A holiday note, sorta:

Dear Meiko,

Greetings from Los Angeles, where you once slung drinks and wisdom, and then songs and wisdom. We miss your angelic voice and turn of a phrase.

We hear you are living in Hamburg, Germany, so we wanted to drop you a line from the land of crowded ICUs, sparsely trafficked freeways and, shedding a tear here, empty music venues. A friend has been keeping us updated on your exploits, like that “Weird World” (no kidding) EP you released this spring and your online shows.

We got another holler last week that you had tried your hand at writing a “jolly song” and sent me a link to this.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
