Here’s a sampler of new singles, featuring Cherry Glazerr, Triptides and EMAEL …

CHERRY GLAZERR, “Big Bang”

On the heels of December’s synth-spiked single “Rabbit Hole,” Cherry Glazerr returns with “Big Bang,” as Clementine Creevy again leans into a more electronic sound. “I wanted to give it a sort of early-Aughts pop production feel, with the interplay between the acoustic guitar figure and the bass synth and the 808 hits during the choruses,” Creevy says. “The lyrics came from feeling like I was growing apart from someone who was close to me in my life, and the song is essentially about heartache, but it’s euphoric at the same time. That’s what I like about it — the intensity of those very personal feelings paired with a sort of huge, exposed energy. I feel like I was able to let a lot out with this song. It feels really special to me.”

TRIPTIDES, “Moonlight Reflection”

The follow-up to January’s single “It Won’t Hurt You,” “Moonlight Reflection” is the latest hazy, lazy head trip from the trio of Glenn Brigman, Brendan Peleo-Lazar and Stephen Burns. The psychedelic rock trio’s new album “Alter Echoes” is out March 19.

EMAEL, “Throw. My Selfaway”

Electronic chamber-folk quintet EMAEL (rendered “EMÆL” and pronounced “E-my-el”) introduced their second album “Three60” by releasing the title track last August. “Throw. My Selfaway” is the latest adventure in classical crossover from the L.A.-based quintet. The full album releases March 15.
