■ Thank Sean Penn, Ann Lee and their CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) nonprofit if you’ve ever done a drive-through test or vaccination at Dodger Stadium, one of the largest such sites in the nation, with a noted absence of government funding. Yesterday and today’s Rock-N-Relief concerts, curated by Linda Perry– featuring star-studded and emerging indie performances from a stage set up at the stadium’s parking lot and beamed in from some artist’s homes and studios– are raising funds to continue the effort and bring equity to vaccination distributions with more sites in dense, low-income communities (there are people who walk in L.A.). Donations are being accepted by texting “ROCK” to 707070 or if you buy a concert t-shirt (both in women’s and men’s sizes). Watch today’s performance by Silversun Pickups and catch up with all of today’s and yesterday’s performances (Part 1, Part 2), as well.
