LIVINGMORE, “Got Me Feelin’ Like”

The follow-up to the rocker “Sharp,” “Got Me Feelin’ Like” is the second single from Livingmore’s sophomore album “Take Me,” out May 21. In the video (directed by Eric Schrader, Kevin T. Miller and the quartet’s frontwoman, Alex Moore), a store clerk dreams of being a rhinestone cowboy. “‘Got Me Feelin’ Like’ has to do with someone being drunk off their own ego and nothing can ruin their time, even though their life isn’t where they want it to be today – it doesn’t matter!” Moore says. “The video is very much a direct representation of what the song is lyrically about. I enjoy mixing reality with fantasy. Daydreams are sometimes grander than where we’re actually standing.”

THE SMALL CALAMITIES, “Stock Photography”

The Small Calamities’ “Moments of Impact” is the album that keeps on giving. Of the song, main man Charlie Wolf says, “During the pandemic I went through some things I had in storage and realized I had been holding onto (for years) a set of picture frames with the stock photos that originally came in them with happy families and picket fences. I thought that was a funny reflection of how things don’t always turn out how we expect them to — hence, this song.” Coleman Moore stars in the video and doesn’t turn out the way you expect him to.

FANA HUES, “Yellow”

After debuting with “Notice Me” and releasing the animated video for “Desert Flower” last year, Pasadena singer-songwriter Fana Hues returned with another visual for a song from her debut album, “Hues.” “Yellow,” directed by David Dutton, is the first of a two-part narrative and was filmed in Northern California with some of her friends. “I want this visual to be a deep sigh of relief after a dark time,” the songwriter says. “I want you to feel the rays of light only your homegirls can give you.”
