ONLINE FIND:

Japanese Breakfast (née Michelle Zauner) stopped in (virtually) at 88.5 FM to chat with Morning Show host Nic Harcourt last week. The singer-songwriter-producer shared about the inspirations behind her debut book, “Crying in H Mart: A Memoir,” her Korean American-mixed race identity, experiences growing up near Eugene, Oregon, and her upcoming new album, “Jubilee,” out June 4.  The artist also discussed the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes in the wake of political rhetoric around the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the need for more dialogue. Follow her book tour and upcoming shows and play her Quest video game on her website.

Also check out the X-Files-ish video for the album’s beaming first single, “Be Sweet,” and her gory roll through her local Super A supermarket in “Posing in Bondage” (a recent q&a about it here).
