Adam Sabolick was a member of Orange County psych-pop outfit Mt. Ossa, and before that he played in the highly regarded but hard-luck band the Union Line.
He took a break from serious music endeavors starting in 2014 to attend college and study visual art, continuing to write and demo songs in the background. After earning his BFA, he got back to work fleshing them out and recording them.
“Fever Dream” is his first single under the name Double Wish. Made with musician-producer Philippe Andre (Sir Sly, Zella Day, Green Sahara), it’s a lush jam that turns into celestial glitter when the synths ascend and Sabolick’s falsetto follows.
Double Wish promises it won’t be another seven years since his next release: There’s more to come in 2021.
