It’s generally no fun being somebody else’s punching bag, but Andrea Silva is strong enough to weather the blows. “I’ve come to terms with being the face you hate,” she sings on her new single as Loyal Lobos, “Hate My Face.”

“I realized the world is full of infinite realities and finally came to peace with being the bad guy in someone else’s story,” the Colombia-born, L.A.-based singer-songwriter says of the dreamy folk-pop tune, which sounds every bit like she’s making peace with an untenable situation.

As on her immersive 2020 debut album “Everlasting,” she worked with producer Evan Voytas on the new single.
