Set times have been announced for this weekend’s Desert Daze music festival, which returns — although in scaled-down fashion — to Moreno Beach at Lake Perris after a one-year absence because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s fest, its third at Lake Perris, features only one stage — but quite a stage it is. The War on Drugs headlines Friday in their only live show of 2021, and Kamasi Washington highlights the proceedings on Saturday with Toro Y Moi and Japanese Breakfast tag-teaming the late sets on Sunday.
Devendra Banhart, Ty Segall, the Black Angels, DIIV, A Place to Bury Strangers, Andy Shauf, SASAMI, Tim Heidecker & Weyes Blood (performing “Fear of Death,” Heidecker’s concept album on which Weyes Blood collaborated) and the Budos Band are among the other highlights. The lineups Friday and Saturday feature two post-headliner sets apiece.
Tickets are still available here.
