Video: Collapsing Scenery, ‘You Already Know’

Bicoastal darkwave duo Collapsing Scenery — Don De Vore and Reggie Debris — today sprang a surprise release on fans, a five-song EP titled “Acid Casual.” It’s a sampler platter of bleak but gripping songs reflecting the duo’s incursions into goth, techno and post-punk.

The EP arrived with a suitably creepy video for the anxiety attack of a lead track, “You Already Know,” directed by Kansas Bowling.

Collapsing Scenery have released a couple of singles since their 2019 tour de force “Stress Positions.” “Acid Casual” revisits some of that album’s neuroses, from the irrepressible disco-punk of “True Levelers” to the hallucinatory of “Feed My Head (Until I’m Dead)” to the theatrical dread of “Bootlickers.”
