Both Slash and the guitar company that equips him had a huge day Friday.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer — in his guise as Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators — released the new album “4,” a riff-lover’s dream anchored by the single “The River Is Rising.” Notably, it’s the inaugural album released on the label launched by Gibson. And to mark the release, the Nashville-based manufacturer unveiled a limited-edition Les Paul guitar.

On Friday night, it was showtime, as the band — singer Myles Kennedy, guitarist Slash, guitarist-vocalist Frank Sidoris, bassist-vocalist Todd Kerns and drummer Brent Fitz — visited the YouTube Theater for their fifth date on a 26-show national tour.

They ripped through 21 songs during their set, including half of the tracks on the new album, three from Slash’s 2010 self-titled album, the aptly titled “Speed Parade” from the 2000 Slash’s Snakepit album and a couple of covers, including a recent add to their setlist, Elton John’s “Rocket Man.” The quintet capped the evening with “Anastasia” from their 2012 album “Apocalpytic Love.”

Setlist: Driving Rain, My Antidote, Shots Fired, Serve You Right, Back From Cali (Slash song), Bad Rain, The River Is Rising, Whatever Gets You By, Always on the Run (Lenny Kravitz cover), No More Heroes, Speed Parade (Slash’s Snakepit cover), Actions Speak Louder Than Words, Fill My World, The One You Loved Is Gone, Call off the Dogs, Doctor Alibi (Slash song), Rocket Man (Elton John cover), Nothing to Say (Slash song), You’re a Lie, World on Fire. Encore: Anastasia.
