The new single from Kid Moxie — the nom de tune of Greece-born, L.A. based artist Elena Charbila — comes drenched in synths and sensuality, recalling the soundtracks of ’80s clubs you might have once visited but don’t quite remember the next morning.

“Shine” is the lead track on Kid Moxie’s forthcoming album, “Better Than Electric” (she released the oozing title track in December).

The track was made with German electronic artist Faderhead during a two-day session in Hamburg, and the video, directed by Joe Rubinstein, recalls Robert Palmer’s “‘Addicted to Love’ with a queer twist,” Kid Moxie told Post-Punk.com, where it premiered. She added that in making the song, she was “definitely channeling some Depeche Mode vibes,” so there’s where it goes in your playlist.

Stay sweaty, friends.
