Ever just lie in your bedroom listening to Bee Gees records?
That’s where we find singer-songwriter Paul Hernandez on his new single as Katzù Oso. “Don’t Ask Why” is a typically lovelorn number adorned with falsetto harmonies, horns and a disco lite beat.
Katzú Oso has been tugging heartstrings in English and Spanish since 2017, releasing his debut EP, “Pastel,” in 2018, along with a few singles since. (He also appeared on Mexican singer Georgel’s EP last year.) The new single finds him collaborating with Charlie Brand (Miniature Tigers) and David Garza (Fiona Apple, Sharon Van Etten, Hanson), with whom he co-produced.
“Girl, please don’t make a fool out of me,” Katzù Oso pleads, anticipating of the moment his crush turns into a crash. His new single, at least, makes for a soft landing.
