The latest single from More* (* about that name) finds the L.A. guitar-pop duo hungry for more. Released last week, “Really Want To See You Again” captures the head-over-heels, when-can-we-hang-again feeling that comes after meeting someone special.

“You want it heavy and / I know ‘cause I’m there with you / And really we’re just two of the same / I really wanna see you,” Malcom McRae sings in the track, a lovestruck anthem that fuses groovy psych-rock and Beatles-influenced pop.

“As a duo and a rule, Kane [Ritchotte] and I share everything. ‘Really Want To See You Again’ was written two days after meeting the girl I’m very much in love with,” McRae said. “The three of us are very happy together.”

Featuring Blake Mills on guitar, the song was produced and engineered by Tony Berg and Will Maclellan, respectively. McRae and Ritchotte consider the producer and engineer honorary band members. “The four of us build everything together,” Ritchotte told Alt Press around the release of the band’s last EP, “2/2.” “Tony was the first person we went to because he has a reputation of being not only a producer, but being very much a mentor. And he’s described often as being a ‘guru’ because he’s worked in so many areas in the music industry. He’s a one-stop shop.”

“Really Want To See You Again” also arrives with a blissful/cultish black-and-white video directed by Keene McRae in which the song wins over everybody in the club … even the mimes.

In addition to rolling out new music this spring, Ritchotte and McRae are slated to support a leg of HAIM’s upcoming tour. The musicians will also appear in the forthcoming Jeff Buckley biopic, “Everybody Here Wants You.”

The duo have another single coming later this month.
