L.A. native Lia Braswell cut her teeth as a drummer, serving as beats baroness most recently for A Place to Bury Strangers and also playing with artists such as Current Joys, TR/ST, House of Heaven, Deap Vally, Le Butcherettes, Gothic Tropic, Mirah, Rachel Fannan and White Sea.

In early 2020, Braswell began to release music from her solo project, Lalande, and the results have been mesmerizing.

“Liquid Time” is Lalande’s first single of 2022, a hypnotic track whose storm-cloud drums and ominous bass provide the foundation for Braswell’s ethereal vocals, chanting “I want to take away your pain.” The song was co-written with and produced by her brother, Sebastian Braswell. The song is the follow-up to equally compelling releases such as “He Never Wanted to Die” and Lalande’s debut EP, “Osglim.”
