It’s a new year, but L.A. glam-punks Starcrawler have resumed their unf*ckwithable ways, releasing a new single about being exactly that.
“Roadkill” is the band’s first single for Big Machine Label Group and the second made with Tyler Bates, the producer, film composer and ex-Marilyn Manson guitarist. Starcrawler and Bates teamed up last year on the single “Goodtime Girl” for the soundtrack to DC’s “Dark Nights: Death Metal.”
The single, which arrives as Starcrawler is about to launch a tour that includes dates with My Chemical Romance and Jack White, is led by frontwoman Arrow de Wilde’s fierce vocals. “‘Roadkill’ is about anyone that tries to dig their heels in the ground and stand in your way,” she says. “We’ve all had people try to tear us down, and sometimes you just have to run right through them.”
It is only 2 1/2 minutes long, but it might leave you on the pavement, too.
