Ears Wide Open: Sisters of Black Mountain

Sisters of Black Mountain are the new guise of the members of Saint Cecilia, who have traded in their bright, innocent ’60s aesthetic for something playfully (or maybe not) goth.
“Think dream-pop on a Dario Argento landscape,” they say of their new approach, embodied in the single “Crystal Raven.” The vocal harmonies that made Saint Cecilia an attraction — here from band leader Cecilia Enriquez and Jenny Luna — are just as beguiling. Neal Harris plays synths on the new single, with Leah Engel on bass and Joey Welcher playing drums and producing.
Simon Cardoza directed the video for their debut single.
