Mixing things up for today’s singles roundup as the releases are coming fast and furious: Hear new songs from Petey, St. Panther, No Win, Liv Slingerland and De Lux — and be surprised by at least one of them.

PETEY, “Big Bad!”

How fast can Peter Martin — aka Petey — go? Real fast. Caffeine up for his new punk-rocker “Big Bad!,” his first single since last fall’s conflagration of emo, punk, pop and indie-rock on the album “Lean Into Life” (our fave was “California”). “‘Big Bad!’ is about when things seem bad in a big way. Not to be confused with times when things seem just a little bit bad,” says Petey, who earlier this summer guested on a single by PHONY. “My friend Neil says it sounds like if Modest Mouse and Blink-182 made a song.” We’ll take it. The song arrives in advance of Petey’s appearance July 28 at Lollapalooza.

ST. PANTHER, “Not the Way” (feat. Pierce Blue)

Daniela Bojorges-Giraldo — aka St. Panther — returns with the soulful shuffle “Not the Way,” the follow-up to last year’s singles “Greatness,” “Places” and “Problems.” It features friend and collaborator Pierce Blue. “‘Not The Way’ is a post-relationship anthem where Pierce and I share our perspectives in relationships,” the singer-songwriter-producer says. “I love that after his verse was finished it became more of a conversation between our two perspectives. The main inspiration was channeling all the ways a relationship shouldn’t feel and by the end coming back to your relationship with yourself / acknowledging your own self-love.” St. Panther opens for Benny Sings on Aug. 4 at the Fonda Theatre.

NO WIN, “Hit the Line”

If the ’90s were your happy place, get in line for No Win’s new single, “Hit the Line,” the follow-up to “Surfing” and the latest from their album, “Dodger Stadium” (out Aug. 19 via Dangerbird Records). No Win main man Danny Nogueiras wrote the song with Jeff Enzor (Joyce Manor) and David Jerkovich (Deep Dreem, Ill Lit). “We all brought our own meanings and interpretations to the table, but I think the song is ultimately about being that unreliable person hurting someone you love,” Nogueiras says. “We tried to juxtapose that feeling against a fun dance-y track that felt like a party.” See No Win on Sept. 7 at the Echo.

LIV SLINGERLAND, “Temporary Letdown”

“I promise I’ll be back to myself in a moment,” Liv Slingerland sings on “Temporary Letdown,” the third single from her album “Hey You,” out Aug. 5 via Ani DiFranco’s Righteous Babe Records. It’s a bittersweet slice of new wave sentimentality — and the follow-up to the previously released title track and “An Entire Lifetime.” Slingerland, who’s been a touring and/or studio player for the likes of Halsey, Olivia Rodrigo, Lauren Ruth Ward, Alex Lahey, Robert DeLong, Donna Missal and more, realizes her own vision on “Hey You.”

DE LUX, “Morning Misses Me”

And now for a pretty piano ballad … Wait, from De Lux? It’s true, the dance-punk/disco/new wave outfit reveals a different side on “Morning Misses Me,” the follow-up to “New Summers” and the latest single from their fourth album, “Do You Need a Release?” (out Sept. 23 via Innovative Leisure). “This song is about forever being a night owl,” the band says. “No matter the noise or the time, mornings are always missed.” Sean Campos directs the video.
