Desert Daze on Thursday announced a major change at the top of the festival lineup. Iggy Pop has dropped out as the Sunday headliner, citing visa problems for his band, and Beach House have been anointed to replace him.

The festival goes off Sept. 30-Oct. 2 on Moreno Beach at Lake Perris, with King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and Tame Impala (performing “Lonerism”) headlining Friday and Saturday. Single-day and weekend passes remain available here.

In a statement, Iggy Pop explained, “I am disappointed to announce the cancellation of my appearance at the Desert Daze festival. Due to a confluence of world events, we have had unprecedented visa issues for my French band way beyond our control, and the band can’t enter the United States in time for the date. I am frustrated to let my U.S. fans down. I’ve left no stone unturned to be there with you on Oct. 2, but now I can only plan to play this wonderful festival again in the future.”

Boy Pablo and Los Retros have dropped off the lineup, as well. Shame and a surprise secret guest have been added.
