London rockers Wolf Alice wound up a month-long U.S. theater tour with a roar Wednesday night, delighting the faithful with a fiery night at the Wiltern.
The band, whose third album, “Blue Weekend,” was nominated for the U.K.’s Mercury Price (2018’s “Vision of Life” won the award), devoted half their set to songs from the new album — more love than they could give it during their shorter set opening for Halsey at the Hollywood Bowl in June.
Harry Styles — for whom Wolf Alice opened in Europe in July and August — was in the house Wednesday, taking in a night that ended, as the band often does, with “Don’t Delete the Kisses.”
Next up for Wolf Alice is an appearance at this weekend’s When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas.
Setlist: Smile, You’re a Germ, Formidable Cool, Delicious Things, Lipstick on the Glass, Planet Hunter, Space & Time, Bros, Safe From Heartbreak (If You Never Fall in Love), How Can I Make It OK?, Play the Greatest Hits, Silk, Feeling Myself, Moaning Lisa Smile, Visions of a Life, No Hard Feelings, Giant Peach. Encore: The Beach II, The Last Man on Earth, Don’t Delete the Kisses
