Update, 5 p.m. Wednesday: Calling Cadence’s appearance at Harvard & Stone on Thursday night has been postponed due to illness.
Fronted by Oscar Bugarin and Rae Cole, Calling Cadence is a band rooted in harmony — harmony between voices, between songwriters and between genres like rock, country, swampy blues and Southern soul. Don’t miss their performance on Thursday, Nov. 3, at Harvard & Stone.

I wish you wouldn’t plug shows for Harvard & Stone. They have a long history of discrimination that borders on racial (at the very least). I personally experienced their doorman’s discrimination when I was denied entry for wearing sneakers. Fair enough.
So why were a group of four who looked like Alpha Chi pledges all in sneakers allowed immediately after me? And this anecdote fits a disturbing pattern documented on Yelp reviews.
