Siouxsie and Iggy Pop are announced as headliners for this year’s Cruel World, happening May 20 at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Additional headliners include stalwarts of the punk rock, new wave and post-punk eras: Billy Idol, Love and Rockets, Echo & the Bunnymen, Adam Ant and the Human League, with Molchat Doma, Gary Numan, Boy Harsher, Modern English, Gang of Four, Twin Tribes, Animotion, Ela Minus, the Vapors, the Motels, Glass Spells, Riki and more rounding out the bill.

This marks Siouxsie’s first North American performance in 15 years. The goth punk idol last released her debut solo album, “Mantaray,” in September 2007. Notably, “The Passenger,” cowritten by Pop with Ricky Gardiner, was famously covered by her with Siouxsie and the Banshees for the band’s covers album, “Through the Looking Glass,” released in 1987. Love and Rockets also make a grand return to the stage, the band last performing together as a trio in 2008.

Tickets ranging from $159 (plus fees) for General Admission to $799 (plus fees) for Clubhouse passes go on sale this Friday at 12 noon. Pre-registration for access to the sale is now open at CruelWorldFest.com.
