The energy and volume were high Wednesday night at a packed Harvard & Stone, where Teenage Wrist turned up as a surprise headliner, rocking songs from 2021’s “Earth Is a Black Hole” and saying those magic words: “We’re going to release a new album this year.”
The occasion was a birthday celebration for venue manager (and Nightjacket bassist) Adam D’Zurilla. Like Teenage Wrist, Nightjacket played a couple of new tunes, the dream-pop outfit at its fuzzy finest. And Double Wish opened the night with songs from their forthcoming EP, “Light Split Sparkle,” which is coming out March 10.
