Coachella-bound Gabriels are back, making the world safer for fans who like singers who can sing.
On June 16, the trio — singer Jacob Lusk, producer-keyboardist Ryan Hope and producer-composer and violinist Ari Balouzian — will release “Angels & Queens – Part 2,” the second half of their debut album. Part 2 was originally announced for late April, but it’s been pushed back a bit. The first seven tracks came out Sept. 30.
Today brought the arrival of “Offering – A Colors Show,” a non-album version of a song (filmed in Berlin) that has been a favorite at their concerts. Like many a great gospel singer, Lusk makes you believe in things. “Give me something / I can’t live without / Give me something / To soothe all of my doubts,” he beseeches on “Offering” … and sure, take what you need.
