L.A. psych-pop quartet SWIMM, makers of soft landing places for fallen hopes and euphoric disco for moving on, have announced they will release their new album, “Best Comedown Ever,” on Aug. 10.
It’s their first full-length since “Sentimental Porno,” which came out in the summer of 2018, and follows cameos by SWIMM songs in a couple of movies and some national ads. Last year, SWIMM teamed up with Goldensuns on the single “Fools,” and issued three singles the year before. None of the previous releases will appears on the album.
Instead, they’re starting fresh. On Friday, they unveiled “Talk to Me,” a dance-pop number all dressed up in airy harmonies and ready for a spring fling.
