L.A. folk-pop trio Trousdale swings (and sings) from the heels on their new single “Bad Blood,” a song that drowns breakup bummerdom in a wash of chipper gang harmonies. This one ought to be signed Effusively Yours.
It’s the second single (plus a cover) from the trio of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene and Lauren Jones since they released their “What Happiness Is” EP in 2021.
Frances Wiese directs the video, which, the band explained on a social media post, needed to emphatically expunge any ephemera from the relationship and leave no trace of any sentimentality. That stuff from your ex collecting dust in the attic? What to do with it? “We wanted to smash things into tiny pieces with bats,” the band says.
There’s more to come from Trousdale, as the trio will release another new single, “Movie Star,” next week.
