Stream: Dev Ray, ‘Lose Control’

Devin Ratliff, formerly of the L.A. bands So Many Wizards and Tomemitsu, debuted as a solo artist under the name Dev Ray back in 2018 with a couple of singles released under the imprimatur of Dangerbird Records’ Microdose series.

A few years and a handful of singles later, Dev Ray is going macro. He’s rolled out “Lose Control,” the first single from his debut album and his first release in a year.

Produced (and co-written) by Andy Petr, “Lose Control” is a burst of airy soft rock (OK, dream-pop it is) for shimmying the melancholy away.

Jimmy Nickerson directed the video for the song.
