So much has happened since avant-pop alchemist Sydney Wayser released a solo Clara-Nova single (which happened to be the week before you-know-what in March, 2020): Marriage, motherhood, travels … and as you’ll see here, dog parenthood.

Musically, the French-American singer-songwriter has been been involved collaboratively, notably with Mike Deni/Georgrapher and as part of the group Royal Cinema (who just released a new single on May 1), as well as a 2021 single with Monogem.

Now, armed with her glowing vocals, Clara-Nova is revealing the fruits of the other project that consumed her pandemic, her forthcoming album “Find a Window.”

“Lover I Built Us a Throne” is the new single, unveiled with a music video sure to elicit warm-and-fuzzies from fans of four-legged friends.

A collaboration with director/screenwriter Tess Morris, the video stars Wayser’s pooch, Aalto, doing the things that best friends do. It was conceived “as a cheeky ode to COVID dogs that references a bunch of our favorite rom-coms,” Wayser says. “So many of us leaned into our pets for support during the last few years and this felt like a fun way to say thank you.”

Details on the album are forthcoming.
