Buckets are a guitar-slinging indie quartet from L.A. who released their self-titled album 2021 and are recalibrating for the follow-up.
The band — Tanner Houghton, Sasha Massey, Mitch Rossiter and Hiram Sevilla — deals in rough-hewn punk and alternative rock. They know how to keep things catchy and how to play the soft/loud dynamic, as evidenced by their new single, “Judy,” which, like the other songs on their forthcoming EP, “Good Luck, Bad Dog” (out this summer), is getting a mix from producer Alex Newport.
Buckets also know how to have fun, as evidenced by the video for “Judy,” directed by Max Look and JC Griffith. It stars Judy, a superhero dog, and Clementine, a mayor dog, while the band plays four ne’er-do-wells whose crime spree comes to a dramatic end. Awww, puppies, who’s in the kennel now?
