The Bellwether announces initial slate of shows; Phantogram to christen new DTLA venue on July 11

Phantogram will christen Los Angeles’ newest mid-sized concert hall, the Bellwether, on July 11.

The downtown L.A. venue at 333 S. Boylston, adjacent to the 110 Freeway, today announced its opening slate of shows. It’s a formidable opening, featuring the likes of Haim, Porter Robinson, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tegan and Sara, Isaiah Rashad, Andrew Bird, Poolside, Santigold, Fool’s Gold, Tove Lo, Sudan Archives and Tycho.

The 1,600-capacity venue is the brainchild of Teragram Presents’ Michael Swier and veteran promoter Gregg Perloff’s Another Planet Entertainment (APE).

“It’s been so exciting working on building this inaugural lineup, I could speak for hours on my appreciation of each artist but I think the lineup speaks for itself,” says the venue’s chief talent buyer, Nick Barrie. “It’s going to be even more special when they finally take the stage in this incredible room.”
