Octavio Genera was the stylish, footloose frontman of the Soft White Sixties, the Bay Area psych-soul outfit who moved to L.A. in 2016 and two years later, in a feat of derring-do, released their album “Alto California” in both English and Spanish.
In 2021, Genera began releasing solo singles under the name Octavio F.G., eventually issuing three songs co-written with producer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Pete Min (fun fact: he produced the Airborne Toxic Event’s breakout “Sometime Around Midnight”).
This spring, brought the Aaron Stern-produced new single “Keep on Drivin,” a throwback to ’70s and ’90s R&B that flexes the Power of the Croon. Genera promises there’s more to come.
